The weather down here has just been positively gorgeous – seventy and sunny for the first two days of winter. Don’t hate :-) We packed up a cooler and spent our second full day down at Tybee. The littles ran wild – playing football, “digging to China”, making “sand angels”, burying each other, finding shells and feeding the sea gulls. Mother and I literally parked ourselves in our lounge chairs and didn’t move an inch for three glorious hours.
We made a quick spin through Seaside Sisters to ogle all of their fabulous coastal Christmas decor. I made a long list for the day after Christmas shopping and was excited to see a few of sweet Catherine Lovett’s pieces for sale.
Our next stop was a few hour trek through Fort Pulaski. The littles adore this place and, I must admit, it’s pretty gorgeous inside (in a this place took eighteen years to build and is pretty much intact since 1847.) I abhorred history as a student, but can’t get enough of Georgia history as an adult. If you want to read all the gory details, check here for more from our visit this summer. Mother is a lifetime pass holder ($10 for you plus three if older than 62) so it’s kind of a regular stop for us these days.
And since my two littles seem to have boundless energy day in and day out, we wrapped up our excursion with eighteen holes of sunset mini golf. If you were wondering, yes, the baby has on a ninja costume. Whatever works, gals. Whatever works.
It’s Christmas eve eve, ya’ll!! Hope you have a merry day.
xoxo
