Twas the Night Before Christmas

And Sister and I got away on a wonderful little shopping excursion in historic Savannah for a few hours.  Hitting our favorite must shops…

And then we all settled in for a long and game filled afternoon back at home before a divine Neiman Marcus Cajun Fried Turkey dinner compliments of Sister and her Mister.  I truly would have taken a picture, but all that was left was the carcass.  (And those that know me know I abhor bones.)

The littles donned their Christmas jammies and Mimi read them the sweet, sweet Christmas story of The First Night.  She then helped them each make a little baby Jesus craft.

And before we knew it, it was time for the littles to head off to bed, where visions of sugar plums were sure to dance in their heads.

They were out before we knew it, and the elves got to work wrapping gifts.  It has become a fun tradition for us to sit up, laugh and tell stories into the wee hours of Christmas morning.

Daddy-O breaks out the scotch, Honey brought the chocolate and Sister provided the elderflower cheese and Savannah Bee honey.  A pretty divine midnight snack.

And just like that, a magical Christmas morning awaits four of the most precious angels…

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
