Toe Meets Rubber

I can hardly believe it myself, but college football is upon us once again.  Our Yellow Jackets kicked off at noon at historic Grant Field and Honey and the PCP are in on the action.

I offered the boy my ticket because it was the right thing to do… you know, to kind of casually and under the radar-ishly coax him into bleeding white and gold, hence making TECH the college choice of his dreams down the road.  Well that and the fact that, in spite of my self proclaimed so-Southern-ness, I just don’t really care for football.  I know, right?!  (I really just wrote that.  On the internet.  For everyone in the world to read.)  The one thing that made me second guess the decision was when Sister told me lil CeeCee would be in tow sporting her GT cheerleading uniform for the first time.  I made her cross-her-heart promise to spam me with photos of that preciousness.

Say those magical words a girl wants to hear.. It's time for College Football Season!!!

Say what??  My e-card should read something more like “Say those magical words a girl wants to hear… Go shopping and buy anything you want!!!” or “I got a baby sitter and we’re headed out to dinner!!!”  or even “I washed the clothes and didn’t shrink or ruin anything!!!”

But I digress…  While I don’t give a whit about football, I most certainly do love Georgia Tech, I relish a good tailgate party, and I adore a game when my besties are all in tow to drink cheap stadium wine and share bags of those divine spiced nuts while we catch up in the air conditioned lounge. But with babies and kids and little league sports and general life commitments, that generally only happens a few times a season.  So while the big boys are sweating it out at the game today, the baby and I will be playing UNO on the porch, ogling those aforementioned photos of “she she belle”, and perhaps enjoying a dip in the pool on this fine Labor Day weekend.

GO TECH!
xoxo

UPDATE: Sister sent this pic of CeeCee and I just had to share!!  Also, she met fabulous young alum Kirby at the game and promised a shout out on the blog :-)  So….. “Heeeeeeeeeey Kirby!  Wish I’d been there to meet you!!!”
