Honey’s twenty-year high school reunion was last weekend. He has stayed pretty darn close to the lot of his main high school crew. They are a fun group, full of big personalities and loads of crazy stories of growing up together from pre-school on. Soooo, I’m not sure why I was surprised when the bus “Savy” organized for our ride downtown ended up looking like this…
Yep. That went down. We arrived at the party in the Tattletale bus. No, we didn’t go to Tattletale. And no, there weren’t any strippers on the bus. But yes, it was rather perfumed (for lack of a better word). And YES, it was hysterical.
The Saturday night event was at Monday Night Brewing – a local craft brewery that grew out of a small Atlanta Bible study. They have a fun philosophy and a unique venue.
I knew more people than I expected to know, especially outside of Honey’s little group. We had a great night dancing, dining, cocktailing and catching up (as evidenced by our requisite stint in the photo booth) .
Just for kicks, this is what that group looked like back in ninety-three. Honey’s on the end in the plaid ensemble with the strange partially shaved head (although I'm guessing it wasn't so strange back then seeing as they all have the same do.)
It only took us about four days to recover from staying out into all hours of the night two nights in a row. Some things have changed in twenty years.
xoxo
