Mickey Meatloaf + A Disney Cruise {Free Printable}

Guess where we’re headed?!?!?!  On the Disney Dream Cruise by way of the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!  If you’ve spent any time around this little blog at all, then it will come as no surprise that we a) kept it a surprise for the littles until a few days before and b) made the big announcement over a meal!

I printed our ports of call off of the Disney Cruise website and taped it to our chalkboard to count down the days!

I already had everything to set the table, but spent a little time making a few new patriotic flags and and cupcake toppers for the affair.

I picked the cupcakes up at Publix and dressed them to look like boats.

The Mickey plates are from a store in Downtown Disney and were one of my best purchases ever :-)  The napkins are dishtowels from Ikea.

We dined on one of the boys’ all time favorite meals – meatloaf, potatoes and broccoli – all done up mouse-style!

I used my regular meatloaf recipe (Southern Living All American Meatloaf) and Honey formed it with the help of my large Mickey cookie cutter.  I did cut the cooking time down by about 10 minutes overall.

The littles were beyond excited to make their way to the porch for the very special supper I promised earlier in the day!!!

And after supper, they couldn’t wait to tear into their treat buckets!!!

I’ve been using these buckets for almost three years now.  Mother made the towels and I ordered the swim suits eons ago from a seller on ebay.  The luggage tag and signature/photo book are from my etsy store.

You’ll have to get creative with the cutting of the cupcake topper, but here is the file I started with…  there are also a few extra things I didn’t end up using!  I used glue dots to stick the bases of the boats together and to adhere the red and blue flags.  For the white flag, I poked holes in the top ends with a skewer and threaded it on.

My whole family is in on the adventure and we’re all giddy with excitement.  Everything around here is going to be DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY for the next week or so while we count down to the trip and the recap the events!!
