First up, Santa Claus himself, who is depicted as a little more tough and less cutesy than the versions of Santa Claus we all knew growing up. I also really like how the suit is red and black. I'm guessing that's his workshop behind him. The Easter Bunny has a very interesting design, and he looks like he means business. As the trailer indicated, these childhood characters won't be presented in an overtly-cutesy manner. What I'm really liking about these posters so far is that they are devoid of the usual DreamWorks cliches: As in, no DreamWorks face or any cast members being listed. The Easter Bunny's world looks rather colorful with tons of details.
Jack Frost's character design isn't all that interesting, but it's not a bad design by any means. The Sandman on the other hand looks really cool. I particularly like the look of the Sandman's world, which looks like a magical version of the Sahara desert. Jack Frost's world also looks lovely.
Last but not least are the Tooth Fairy and Pitch the Boogeyman. The Tooth Fairy's design is certainly colorful and eye-catching, and her world seems very detailed. We can't see too much of it, though. I'm not sure about Pitch's design though. His world looks very creepy, yes, but I don't think the character looks interesting. Something about it is just off-putting. But, what matters most is how good of a villain he will be.
Anyways, for the most part, these are satisfying posters. Aside from Pitch, the character designs are impressive. The individual worlds they come from should look spectacular in the finished film. Now if the quality of the story and the screenplay matches that, then this will be DreamWorks Animation's best film to date. That's right, their BEST film. From these posters, the trailer and everything else we've seen, this won't be like their previous films. It looks like it's going to be a visually exciting, if not dark film. Here's hoping it has heart, wit, great writing and everything else.
