Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.
During the Tokyo Game show we got a sample of the next 'Ninja Gaiden' title, 'Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z', which is currently developed by Team Ninja for Tecmo. As you may know, I'm a huge fan of Tomonobu Itagaki, who revived the whole franchise in 2004. After the release of NG2 in 2008 he took most of his crew with him and forged his own Valhalla Game Studios to create games that would meet his standard of ingenuity. By the way, they´re still working on 'Devils'Third', which after some technical difficulties is now running on the 'Darksiders II' engine, but is still planned for a 2013 release.
Above: The new title is being developed by Team Ninja in cooperation with Keiji Inafune´s 'Comcept' (Inafune is known for designing 'Mega Man') and 'Spark Unlimited', which is currently developing ´Lost planet 3´.
After Itagaki's departure, the remaining crew of Team Ninja went to work on NG3 which was released by Tecmo in March this year. From the first images of ´Yaiba´, it seems a completely new look has been created for the series, although not too much can be said at this moment, as this is just still a teaser. check it out below.
